Disney Channel Renews ‘Girl Meets World’ for Season 2

Girl Meets World is back in session! That’s right, the Boy Meets World spin-off will return to the Disney Channel for a second season after only after five airings.

We might’ve all adored Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) back in the ‘90s, but I guess kids these days can’t get enough of their daughter Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her friends.

“The series swiftly became a favorite of kids and their parents, many of whom grew up with Boy Meets World,” Disney Channels Worldwide original programming EVP Adam Bonnett said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to watching Riley Matthews and Maya Hart make the world their own, as Cory and Topanga teach them life lessons along the way.”

The comedy also stars Sabrina Carpenter, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer and Corey Fogelmanis. For those hoping to see some familiar Boy Meets World faces, you’re in luck. We’ve already seen William Daniels as the beloved Mr. Feeny, but we’ll also see Lee Norris make his triumphant return (Aug. 15) as Minkus aka Farkle’s dad! For Shawn fans, no worries, as Rider Strong will pop up in the holiday episode.

Season 2 production begins in November.
