‘Shameless’ Actress Emmy Rossum Lands Lead Role
You can’t keep Fiona Gallagher down and you darn sure can’t keep the woman who portrays her down. Emmy Rossum has been cast alongside Justin Long in the romantic comedy Comet written and directed by Sam Esmail. According to the Esmail “Comet is about the drama, comedy and utterly surreal state of heartbreak.” I have a feeling this movie is right up Emma’s alley. According to a tweet made earlier by Rossum she was on her way to the film’s shooting location on the first day of filming. As of this writing there has been no word on who else has joined the cast.
Recently, Rossum filmed the movie drama You’re Not You starring Josh Duhamel, Hilary Swank, Ali Larter, Marcia Gay Harden, Loretta Devine, and Julian McMahon. She will be returning to the role of Fiona Gallagher when Season 4 of Showtime’s Shameless begins shooting this September.
