Happy New Year! Time to reflect on this past year, which has been great for music, especially up and coming new artists. Amazing albums were released, some long time favorite bands released new music, and the tours were incredible. Can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store. Take a look at my personal favorite new artists of 2012.

Conor Maynard |
He quickly grew a strong fan base with some of his hit singles like “Vegas girl” and “Drowning”. He is an English cutie with a new album coming out January 8th entitled “Contrast”. If you haven’t, make sure you check out the song “Vegas Girl”. I listen to it all the time.

ZZ Ward |
ZZ Ward is an alternative singer with a voice like no other. Her first hit was “Till the Casket Drops”, which was featured on previews for the ABC Family show ‘Pretty Little Liars’. She dropped a new EP recently and it’s reviews were pretty positive. Watch out for more from her, and check out her songs “365 Days” and “Put The Gun Down”!

Austin Mahone

Austin Mahone is a teenage boy with looks like Justin Bieber and sensitivity like Cody Simpson. He has been touring with his celeb friends and on The Mini Pop Tart Tout, more fans came out to see him than either of the main acts! Talk about crazy. He’s gotten a lot of buzz this year and I can only imagine it will continue into 2013!

It Boys! |
It Boys!, whoever said boy bands are out, must have never heard of them. The 5 member group had large crowds everyday on the Warped Tour over the summer and are getting more fans by the day. Their first single was “Guys Don’t Like Me”. They are planning on releasing more music ASAP, but while we eagerly wait check out “Start The Party”. It’s a fun dancy pop song! Plus it has an awesome music video!

Cher Lloyd exploded in 2012 when her radio pop hit “Want U Back” rocked America. Her recent album Sticks and Stones was released October 2nd! I don’t know about you, but I want more from Cher! Check out my personal favorite Cher song “Superhero”!
