Bio: City Lights is a pop/punk band from Columbus, Ohio. The band consists of lead singer Oshie Bichar, drummer Sean Smith, bassist Chase Clymer, and guitar players Jeremy Smith and Kamron Bradbury. The band formed in 2008 and have had a lot of success since then. They worked with Brooks Betts, guitar player for Mayday Parade, and self released and promoted their EP and sold over 5,000 copies. They are currently in the studio working on their second album. Working with big names like Brooks Betts, this band is going places fast.
Why they’re the band of the week: Honest Reviews Corner is a big supporter of small bands who have worked hard for their success. Selling over 5,000 copies of an EP without the help of a label is an amazing accomplishment. Coming from Columbus, OH, City Lights had to compete with all the other bands emerging from the Columbus music scene and they have obviously triumped. The band is off to a running start and it doesn’t look like they’ll slow down any time soon.
