Boys Like Girls 'Crazy World EP' Review
This EP that Boys Like Girls recently released is a preview for their much anticipated 3rd full length album, ‘Crazy World,’ set to hit stores the first or second week of October. This EP includes three songs off the full-length album.
Be Your Everything, the first single, takes us back to those wonderful ballads like ‘Two is Better Than One’ and ‘Thunder,’ which the band always so flawlessly pulls off. This song shows off lead singer Martin Johnson’s incredible vocal range. He seriously has one of the best voices I have ever heard. I don’t doubt that ‘Be Your Everything’ will be a Top 40 song as soon as it hits radio.
Life of the Party has a more Country style to it. This song is all about having fun and partying with your friends. The band added a few extra instruments that I think add a great element to the song. My favorite part of this song would have to be when Martin says “You smell that? Smells like Boys Like Girls is back.’ I can’t think of a better lyric for one of their first songs back.
The First Time also has one of my favorite lyrics, “ It’s good to see you again…” Although this song is about going home and reminiscing on the old days, it also fits perfectly with the bands’ return.
Boys Like Girls has done it again! I highly recommend checking out this EP if you haven’t already. It definitely got me even more excited for the full-length than I was already! I couldn’t stop listening from the moment I got it, and even now it’s still one of my favorites. Boys Like Girls is back, and they are better than ever!
