What did you do for your ‘Real World’ audition tape?
“I tried to make it really original. I’ve seen past audition tapes and they look boring to me. So I decided to start off in a corn field for mine because I’m from Nebraska. I said “Welcome to Nebraska” and then I ran up to the camera and said “Just Kidding”. Then I gave a little tour of Omaha and talked about myself a lot; my hobbies and my family and anything I could think of about me. At one point I was downtown sitting on a random ball talking, and other times I would be in the car or on my front porch. I just tried to make it as interesting as I could to make it stand out a little bit.”
Have you seen previous seasons of the ‘Real World’?
“I have. I’ve seen a lot of ‘Real World’ in my time. I haven’t seen the beginning seasons because my parents didn’t have cable in the house until I was a senior in high school. So I never got to see first few seasons, but I’ve seen all the newer ones.”
What were some of your first impressions of your roommates?
“I first met Swift and Brandon. Brandon stuck out to me because he had the tattoos, gauges and piercings. He probably stuck out as one of the top roommates in the house. Swift, when I met him kind of looked like a big player to me. I didn’t really know what his personality was like, but he seemed really cool. Toya seemed like she was going to be crazy fun. She was running around screaming the moment she got into the house. I thought that was really funny. I was really excited to get to know her because she reminded me of a girl from my cheerleading team. Marie seemed funny, but I didn’t know how well we would get along, because she seemed more girly and I’m more of a tomboy. I had a feeling that our personalities might clash a little bit. Trey definitely stuck out more than Brandon did because he was the kind of guy that I would usually go for. He was athletic, popular and good-looking so I was really excited to get to know him. Robb seemed like he was going to be a good time. He came to the house drunk and I was excited to see what else he had in store. He seemed like a funny little goofball that liked to party really really hard!”
Is there anything from the past two episodes that they didn’t show on TV, but you wish they had?
“In the last episode, I really wish they had shown me hanging out with my other roommates more. They made it look like I only hung out with Trey and I followed Trey around. We hung out more than I did with the other roommates, but I did make sure to hang out with Toya and Marie because wanted to get close to my roommates.”
What was it like living on your own island?
“I thought that living on our own island was really cool. It’s not something that a lot of people get to do. The only downfall of living on an island was the boat system. The boats would break down or it would be raining and you couldn’t go into town. We did have the best view of St. Thomas! I think it made my roommates and I bond more because we were actually very secluded. At times it was nice and others, you just wanted to get away.”
Do you have any desire to compete in one of the future ‘Real World’ challenges?
“I am an athletic person. I did track and cheerleading in highschool and college. I think that the challenge would be very very fun. I hope that I get picked for one of them because I think I would go pretty far. I hope for it, but it’s not really up to me.”
Who would you want to be paired with if you did a challenge?
“If it was guys, probably CT or Johnny, just because they’ve been around for a while and they know the game. For a girl I would probably want to be teamed with Emily from DC. She is a really really good competitor and I would not want to go against her.”
Do you watch any other reality shows?
“I do. I watch ‘Jersey Shore’, ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’.”
Have you met other cast members from seasons past?
“I was in the airport coming home from St. Thomas and I was checking my Facebook and I had a message from Tyree. He said that it was good to have another person from Nebraska on the show and he said we should hang out sometime. I sent him a message back and we did! Kim and Tyree were in town about four days later so they came to the pool with me and we went out to the bars. I’ve also met Camilla because she lives in Lincoln.”
What was it like finding out that Trey had a girl back home?
“Trey let me know pretty much up front that he had a girl back home. It sucked because it kind of gave me some competition, but since I’m very competitive, it kind of made me like him a little bit more. It was hard though because I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know how close they were or anything. I think he did a good job about being honest though. He didn’t lie to us about anything.”
Is it weird or strange to watch yourself on TV?
“It was weird when the commercials first started coming out. However, once the first episode aired, I was really excited. It’s weird seeing things that I do, because I don’t really pick up on the things that I do or how I talk to people. I do think it’s really cool to watch myself on TV now.”
What type of music do you listen to?
“Pretty much only country music. When we go out to the bars I’ll listen to whatever is playing there, but if I’m at home or if I’m with friends it’s only country!”
