Comic Con 2012: CBS, Showtime, and the CW

San Diego Comic Con 2012 CBS Showtime CW

The San Diego Comic Con is right around the corner, and this year’s line-up is looking fantastic! CBS, Showtime, and the CW are well-represented, and will definitely be keeping SDCC attendees busy.

In addition to the standard Q&A’s, signings, contests, and photo-ops we’ve come to expect from these conventions, you can look forward to getting the first look at a couple of new pilots. The CW will be showing “Beauty and the Beast,” “Arrow,” and “Cult”. CBS will be showing “Elementary” – described as a modern take on Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson. You can check out the schedule below for more details on these panels and screenings, or you can also check out CBS’s official press release here.

As a bonus for the SDCC attendees, GameSpot and CNET will be at Lou & Mickey’s restaurant July 12-July 14, where they will be hosting an interactive station, complete with video games, contests, charging stations, and food. For those unable to attend, CBS invites you to check out their website (www.cbs.com/comiccon) and follow along as they cover various aspects of the long weekend – including some interviews, photos, and panels.

Make sure you also check out the CBS/Showtime/CW joint booth (#4129), where they will be hosting a number of contests and giveaways, as well as running their popular green-screen photo booth, during the course of the convention. Jenna Morasca (Survivor) will be the host on Saturday and Sunday (July 14-15). The booth’s hours of operation are: Wednesday, July 11th from 6-9pm, Thursday, July 12th through Saturday, July 14th from 9:30am-7:00pm, and Sunday, July 15th from 9:30am-5:30pm.

You can also find Alex Boylan (The Amazing Race) and Burton Roberts (Survivor: Pearl Islands) hosting on the “CBS Buzz Tour” tour bus Thursday through Saturday. You can check the #cbsbuzz tour schedule and get further details on their website: www.cbs.com/buzz.

In all, this weekend looks to be amazing on the television front, and we can’t wait to check it all out. Make sure to follow @CBSatComicCon for live updates. For those of you attending (or just curious), we’ve compiled a table of these three networks’ panels, which you can check out below.
