"Where have I seen you before?" Celebrity Look-Alikes

I’m terrible with names. I can meet the same person three times and still forget their name the next time I see them. Fortunately, I’m great with faces. I’ll usually recognize that I’ve at least seen the person before, although that doesn’t always help. Have you ever been in a situation where you know you recognize a person’s face, but can’t recall their name? Sometimes, watching TV can be a little bit like that. You’ll see an actor on-screen, feel like you’ve seen them somewhere before, but not be able to quite pinpoint where. Well, that doesn’t necessarily make you crazy or forgetful. It’s possible that you’ve just seen a celebrity look-alike. Here are a few we’ve noticed:

Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde) and Susan Ward (Make It or Break It)

Honestly, let’s forget the hair color for a second. All it took was a couple episodes of watching Susan Ward in Make It or Break It and we couldn’t help but think of Reese Witherspoon. The resemblance in this instance could have something to do with the fact that Susan Ward’s character Chloe Kmetko is like what we imagine Reese Witherspoon’s character Elle Woods would be as a mom (both are fond of advising to always look your best and never let anyone bring you down). However, these two actors also have very similar bone structure which, more than anything else, is what lands them on this list

Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries) and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical)

I never watched Degrassi, but I did love High School Musical back in the day, and when I saw Nina Dobrev on Vampire Diaries, it took me a few episodes to realize who she reminded me of: Vanessa Hudgens. Again, this could have something to do with their characters because on-screen, both Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) have mastered the doe-eyed stare (though the same could not be said for Katherine Pierce).  On a slightly related note, I’m still holding out hope for The Vampire Diaries Musical.

Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious) and Randy Wayne (The Lying Game)

Recently, I watched Honey 2, which co-starred Randy Wayne. I’d seen him before in The Lying Game, and I immediately remembered having the same dilemma watching him on that show. I don’t know if it was seeing him in a movie instead of a television show that made the difference, but while I was watching him show off his dance skills, it hit me: he looks just like Paul Walker! Their blonde hair and blue eyes leave us wondering: long-lost brothers? Wouldn’t be surprising. Without Paul’s signature five-o’clock shadow, I don’t know that we could tell the difference between the two.

Katy Perry (“Firework” “Hot ‘N Cold”) and Zooey Deschanel (New Girl)

No matter how Katy Perry styles her hair for the week, there is no mistaking the resemblance between the pop star and New Girl‘s Zooey Deschanel. Their looks combined with their fun, albeit a bit quirky, personalities, it’s little wonder we find these two so similar. It would also explain why we can’t decide which we love more. The good thing is, we don’t have to choose. Though both can sing and act, their primary areas of expertise are, for now, separate.

Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) and Bradley Cooper (The Hangover)

I know what you’re thinking: “Lord Voldemort and Phil Wenneck? They look nothing alike!” Of course, we are not talking about Fiennes in full Lord Voldemort regalia; neither of these two men are so scary-looking in real life. In fact, quite the opposite is true. These two share that rugged, manly look that you just can’t help but find attractive (not to mention those sky-blue eyes you can easily get lost in).

America Ferrera (Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants) and Jordin Sparks (American Idol)

I’m sure it has a great deal to do with their stunning brunette locks and dazzling smiles, but back when Jordin Sparks was on American Idol, I don’t know how many people I talked to that wondered if she was related to America Ferrera. These two gorgeous Hollywood stars may have reached fame through different venues, but they could easily star as a double in each others’ lives.

Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) and Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Season 6 big bad “The Trio” must have had some success as super-villains. It seems they managed to clone Warren Mears (Adam Busch) in the form of Josh Radnor, who plays Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother. As if the actors’ physical similarities aren’t enough, both have also shared major screen time with the same actress. Of course, working with Allyson Hannigan didn’t really work out to well for Adam (hey, remember that time when Willow skinned Warren?), but hopefully Josh will fare better.

Zac Efron (The Lucky One) and Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl)

The characters they play may be worlds apart, but both of these actors look like they would be most comfortable catching a wave at the beach (and look good doing it). Close in age, these two have gone through the trends together, from the highlights and surfer look to the hair gel and casually just-rolled-out-of-bed style. With their piercing blue eyes and light brown hair, these two actors could easily pass for brothers, or at least distant cousins.
