To Write Love On Her Arms Announces New Suicide Prevention Campaign

This week To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), a nonprofit focused on finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide, announced their new suicide prevention campaign #IWasMadeFor in honor of National Suicide Prevention Week and World Suicide Prevention Day. The theme is based on When Hope Speaks, a book written by former TWLOHA intern, Jessica Morris.

Stay and discover these new lands. These new people. The hidden gems you didn’t even know existed. Stay and find out what you were made for. You are not a failure. You are not irreparably broken. Step forward now, crawl if you must, into a grace that shines light into the shadows of your soul. You are safe here. In fact, this is home.”

To support this years campaign, you can donate to fundraising, buy TWLOHA’s World Suicide Prevention Day Pack, and join in the conversation on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook using the hashtag #IWasMadeFor. All of the money made by this campaign is going to be directly invested into treatment and recovery options. CFO Lindsay Kolsch said about the campaign that, “The most important thing we can do as an organization is give people a reason to stay, to move from despair to hope, and to connect them to the resources they need and deserve.”
