Cormoran Strike by JK Rowling is Headed to HBO

23f4629700000578-2869265-image-a-15_1418255528121JK Rowling is everywhere. From books to films to plays, her reach spans across hundreds of countries and has been adapted into many different languages (also she’s incredibly charming on social media). In 2017, there’s one more place that you’ll be able to catch more of Rowling’s adaptions: HBO.

HBO is adapting Rowling’s crime novel, Comoran Strike, into a limited series for U.S. and Canadian viewers. Rowling published the series under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, and it went on to sell over a million copies in the UK. The story follows a broke private investigator that must solve cases that the police have been unable to resolve. Tom Burke (The Musketeers, War & Peace) has been recruited to play Comoran Strike, and the rest of the casting is yet to be announced.

With the premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hitting theaters November 17th, and the popularity of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Rowling has had a lot to celebrate recently. If this new series is anything like the brilliance she displayed while writing Harry Potter, fans have a lot to be excited about.
