Tiny Moving Parts Release Video for Common Cold and Full Interview Via BrooklynVegan

In addition to a full interview on BrooklynVegan, Minnesota-based Tiny Moving Parts has released the video for “Common Cold” on the website. In the interview, they talk about their latest album release, Celebrate, and their upcoming tour that began this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The new single features guest vocals by Foxing member Connor Murphy. BrooklynVegan premiered the Kyle Thrash directed clip. Celebrate is released via Triple Crown Records and currently on-sale via Bandcamp for $5 for a limited time.

“The song is about dealing with anxiety, and that’s what we wanted to capture in the video,” TMP singer/guitarist Dylan Mattheisen has said about the new release.

Tiny Moving Parts began their fall tour on October 12 with Touche Amore and Culture Abuse. Additionally, they will play several headlining dates later in the fall that include support from Microwave, Movements, My Iron Lung, and A Will Away (all tour dates below). Tickets for all headlining dates are now on-sale at http://tinymovingparts.com.

Celebrate won praise from a wide variety of outlets including NPR, Noisey, Alternative Press, the AV Club and many others. Tiny Moving Parts was also nominated for the “Best Underground Band” category at the 2016 APMAs.

For Celebrate, the band headed back into the studio with Greg Lindholm who recorded This Couch Is Long & Full of Friendship This, and the result is a record that is complex, dynamic and shows a band all grown up. “Celebrate is really about optimism. Things get stressful throughout life, and you just need to stay positive, or you’ll destroy yourself,” explains guitarist/vocalist Dylan Mattheisen. The album was mixed by Vince Ratti (Circa Survive, The Wonder Years, Title Fight) and mastered by Sarah Register (Andrew WK, Brand New, Sia).

Mattheisen has played in Tiny Moving Parts with his cousins, brothers Matthew Chevalier and Billy Chevalier since junior high school, and their tight, catchy post hardcore-pop punk combination shows their skills in spades. Their live show is highly energetic, and their musical know-how is impressive – the complexity of their songs makes it difficult to believe there are only three of them onstage. The band first drew attention with the release of their debut LP This Couch Is Long & Full of Friendship in 2013 on Kind of Like Records, eventually signing to Triple Crown Records in 2014, who released their second LP Pleasant Living later that year.

Right now, BrooklynVegan is offering fans the opportunity to win free tickets to one of the band’s New York shows. Hello, my name is Arlene Allen, and I love all things nerd: genre tv and movies, books, loud rock and roll music, kittens, conventions, books, graphic novels and superheroes, RPG and tabletop games, and did I say books? Oh, yes. I spent 25 years as a librarian (nerd) mainly working with youth (creating nerds), a number of years as a teacher (more nerd indoctrination). I have my own spawn, leveled up to 22 and my partner in nerdiness. As a nerdy writer, I have found a home at Talk Nerdy With Us.
