Batman vs Batmen?! Detective Comics #934 Preview

THE RISE OF THE BATMENAn unknown predator begins outdoing Batman, taking down dangerous threats with military precision. It’s up to the Dark Knight and series costar Batwoman to rally and train the young heroes of Gotham City to end this mysterious threat!

The newest issue of Detective Comics, being released June 8th implies quite a bit already. Do we now have one or even more Batmen to worry about? Courtesy of ComicBookMovie.com, a 5-page preview of Detective Comics #934 gives a bit of insight into these new “Batmen” and from the looks of it, they are not on the same team as our Batman.

In the preview, we see Azrael who was a bit scarce in The New 52 run, back in action and being pursued by a mysterious figure. A scene reveals that his follower is Batman – or at least someone dressed like him. When the real Batman arrives on the scene, he first recognizes that the imposter left a drone to keep track of what he was doing.

Batman then asks Azrael who did this to him to which Azrael answers – “You did.”

Tricky stuff! Who are these guys pretending to be Batman and how much damage have they done to his image before this incident? Furthermore, what else are they planning to do under the guise of Batman’s name?! Read the preview below and hit your local comic shop to find out the rest!

Detective Comics #934 will be released this Wednesday, June 8th along with several other Rebirth premiere issues. Are you looking forward to the RISE OF THE BATMEN story arc? Let us know in the comments!
