Transit Method’s New EP Out May 27th

Basement Avatar Records will release a two-song EP called “Roach” by New Jersey power-rock trio Transit Method  this coming Friday, May 27th. Fans can pre-order the record on 7” vinyl, CD and digitally right now at Bandcamp and it will be available for purchase at iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby and streaming at Spotify and Soundcloud on May 27th.  “Roach” is the second EP for the band who also has two full length albums, Spun into the Fabric and Celebrate Mutations in their catalog

“”Roach” offers a fresh and new sonic approach for Transit Method having taken their sound further into the grunge realm by adding a dash of thrash while always maintaining their prog edge. “Roach,” the single and title-track, is an up-tempo rock tune that tells the story of mankind being overrun and ultimately consumed by cockroaches. The music video features a deranged female hell bent on eliminating the cockroach infestation that has taken over her unkempt ramshackle abode using any and all means necessary.” – Transit Method

Originally formed in the New Jersey suburbs by brothers Matt and Mike LoCoco, the group has toured the Northeast from New York to Virginia and after moving to Austin, regularly perform in Texas. They have shared the stage with The Tea Club, District 97, Bobaflex, Wheatus, The Sword, Ringo Deathstarr, Opposite Day, Megafauna, The Invincible Czars, and Rishloo. In 2015, Transit Method took part in an original documentary feature entitled “If You Don’t Love It, Change It” where they filmed their first music video for “Artificial Genesis.”

The two songs on “Roach” are well crafted and well performed.  The lyrics are easily understood and the music is less discordant than some of the power-rock bands performing today.  My only complaint with this EP is that there are only two tracks!
