Where Are They Now: The “Sex and the City” Edition

sex

The clothes, the writing, the characters, the drama—these are just a few of the reasons why Darren Star’s hit romantic sitcom Sex and the City remains one of the most adored series of all time. Broadcast on HBO from 1998 to 2004, the show followed the lives of a group of four women living in New York, three of whom were in their mid-thirties and one in her mid-forties, who, despite their different personalities and roller-coaster relationships, continued to be inseparable throughout their lives. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon, the quirky series was known for tackling contemporary social issues, including sexuality, promiscuity and femininity. Over the course of its six-year run, the show received critical acclaim and praise due to its subject matter and characters, winning seven Emmy awards, eight Golden Globe awards and three Screen Actors Guild awards. It also inspired two feature films—Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010)—as well as a prequel series on the CW called The Carrie Diaries.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been twelve years since this monumental show ended and, although reruns continue to air on a multitude of channels to this day, the actresses and actors have long since moved on to other things. So, where are your favorite Sex and the City cast members now? Keep reading to find out!
