Unwritten Law Announces New Studio Album, Spring Tour

unnamed (7)A lot has happened in the years since Unwritten Law’s last studio album, 2011’s Swan.  After a decade away from the band, original drummer Wade Youman returned in 2013. Bassist Johnny Grill was added as well, followed by guitarist Chris Lewis. Together with lead singer Scott Russo, the band is set to release their eighth studio album, Acoustic, on April 1.

Acoustic contains acoustic reimaginings of songs spanning the band’s 26 year career including their two biggest hits, “Seeing Red” and “Save Me.” In addition to the band’s 11 acoustic tracks, Acoustic will contain a cover of John Legend and MSTRKRFT’s “Heartbreaker” and a brand new song from the band entitled “Belongs To You.”

This marks the band’s first release for Cybertracks, the California record label founded by NOFX guitarist El Hefe. The band’s previous seven releases have totaled over 2 million in sales and garnered the band a loyal fan base.

As the band prepares for the release of Acoustic, they will be hitting the road with Fenix TX beginning March 9. Tickets are on sale now.

Most likely he is just watching TV thinking about how he should be doing those things. You can tweet him @badlandsbadley and congratulate him on his mad 3rd person writing skills.
