truTV announces new programming schedule for February with some new episodes, along with new original programming. Check out the list below.
‘Fameless’ – New Episode – Monday, February 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT
From the mischievous mind of comedian and actor David Spade comes ‘Fameless’, a genre-busting prank show about how far real people will go for a moment in the spotlight. Each week, the series features a group of unsuspecting desperate-to-be-famous individuals who believe they’ve been cast on a reality show. However, unbeknownst to them, they are really filming a parody with improv actors creating over-the-top scenarios that steadily increase the absurdity and ridiculousness of each situation – testing the patience of everyone NOT in on the joke.
‘Almost Genius’ – New Episode – Tuesday, February 9, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT
Almost Genius is a self-contained, half-hour comedy series that celebrates the people, places and things that try so hard to succeed but come up just a bit short. Hosted by April Richardson and Chris Fairbanks, this next-generation clip show features comedians and performers digitally inserted into viral videos to comment on and congratulate people for their bravery and ingenuity in snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. But Almost Genius doesn’t mock, because as everyone knows, “almost” is awesome and genius.
’10 Things’– New Episode – Tuesday, February 9, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
10 Things You Didn’t Know About Theme Parks: In truTV’s new series 10 Things, comedian Jamie Lee (Girl Code, Ridiculousness, Last Comic Standing) takes the listicle to a new level with a combination of irreverent commentary and cutting-edge visuals. The result is a comedic countdown packed with surprising and buzz-worthy facts presented with a unique point of view
‘Impractical Jokers’– Thursday, February 11 at 10:00pm ET/PT
HellCopter: Joe, Sal, Murr and Q pose as unreceptive receptionists in an office waiting room, then head to a world-famous wax museum where they mingle with the stiff crowd. And in tonight’s scream-worthy double punishment, the two losers are taken on a chopper ride from hell.
‘Those Who Can’t’ – Thursday, February 11 at 10:30pm ET/PT
Those Who Can’t is truTV’s first foray into full-length scripted comedy. The half-hour comedy follows three trouble-making teachers, played by show creators Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy of the Denver-based comedy troupe The Grawlix. More inept than the kids they teach, they’re out to beat the system as they struggle to survive each day on their own terms. Joining them is Maria Thayer (Eagleheart) the school librarian with an insuppressible passion for life.
Guest stars include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm), T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley), Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Big Lebowski) and Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs).
Dean Lorey (Arrested Development) is the show runner and an executive producer. Also serving as executive producers on Those Who Can’t are Tracey Baird (Flight of the Conchords) and Krysia Plonka (Billy On The Street) of Thank You, Brain! Productions; Michael Rotenberg and Josh Lieberman of 3 Arts Entertainment; and Richard Korson.
