Three New Shows We’re Still Waiting For This Month

© by WGN America

We may have already seen a few new shows premiere this month, but there are several more to come. Many we’ve already talked about here at Talk Nerdy With Us, but here are 3 more to look out for.

Second Chance

Lead by the British hunk Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim, True Blood), this show is the newest in sci-fi drama. Second Chance is based around a man, Jimmy Prichard, who died at 75 years old, and is brought back to life as a younger, stronger version of himself. Attempting to find a way to prolong life, a set of billionaire twins, played by Dilshad Vadsaria (Revenge) and Adhir Kalyan (Rules of Engagement), bring back Prichard. What will he do with his second chance?

Tune into Fox on January 13th at 9PM/8c for the premiere of Second Chance.

Billions

Wow. Just wow. You watch the trailer for Showtime’s newest drama and you can feel the tension emanating out to the audience. Billions has a pretty star-studded cast including Paul Giamatti (Straight Outta Compton, Sideways), Damian Lewis (Wolf Hall, Homeland), Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men), and Malin Akerman (Children’s Hospital, The Comeback). Gianatti plays U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades who is going after an ambitious hedge fund manager Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, played by Lewis. These two duke it out in the New York world of politics and finance.

Premiering Sunday, January 17th at 10PM, on Showtime.

Outsiders

If science fiction and Wall Street drama don’t do anything for you, try this backwoods story about a power struggle in the hills of Appalachia. The Farrell clan is a family of outsiders who have been living in the mountains of rural Kentucky, for as long as anyone can remember. When big developers decide they want their land, the Farrell’s will defend their world and way of life by any means necessary. This cast includes Joe Anderson (Hannibal, The Divide), David Morse (True Detective, Treme), Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, Bates Motel), Gillian Alexy (Royal Pains, The Americans), and a slew of others.

Check out Outsiders on WGN America Tuesday, January 26th at 9PM/8c.
