The Gabe Quinn Series consists of three separate books which are all interconnected and better read in order, together – like the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The book titles are: Killing Hope, Crossing Lines and Taking Liberty. The series is edgy and suspenseful with well constructed characters and a sense of place and urgency that pervades all three books. Gabe Quinn becomes almost too perfect of a hero by the series end – always in the right place, at the right time and able to defeat the obstacles thrown up in his way – but the books are good enough that this a small hitch and not something that makes them unreadable.
The central question which carries the plot through all three books is, ‘If you could save a million lives by taking one … would you?’ Gabe Quinn, a cop with an exceedingly high clear rate, is working for the LAPD in homicide after a personal tragedy has left him emotionally bare. He’s stretched beyond his emotional and physical limits, but resolved to catch a serial killer stalking the streets of two major cities. The criminal(s?) try to muddy the waters by leaving cryptic clues at each crime scene and Gabe is faced with the seemingly impossible task of piecing together the sickening puzzle – following signs that point toward a killer whose motive causes him to ultimately question everything he believes in. “One man stands in the way of countless deaths …One man will try to stop him …Only one will succeed …”
These books will take you on a roller coaster ride across the country as Gabe races to stop the killing. The twists were unpredictable and a couple will leave you stunned and breathless.
