Ship Wars: Bones vs Castle

We have done several Ship Wars in the past here on Talk Nerdy With Us (check them out here). This week, we are doing something a little different. Instead of voting on ships from the same show, we are pitting the main ships from two shows against each other. We are starting with two highly popular, long-running procedurals: Bones and Castle. Let’s talk workplace love!

BONES: Brennan (Emily Deschanel, R) and Booth (David Boreanaz, L) are married in the "The Woman in White" episode of BONES airing Monday, Oct. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Also pictured: guest star Mather Zickel. ©2013 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Ray Mickshaw/FOX

Do you pick Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan of Fox’s Bones? If there’s a show for the slow burn, it’s this one. It took five seasons for the two to even admit their feelings for each other and another whole season for them to finally act on it. Brennan spent most of her life believing love was just a chemical reaction which made it take a while for them to accept what was happening, even if viewers knew it from season 1.

Castle and Beckett

OR Do you pick Rick Castle and Kate Beckett of ABC’s Castle? Castle’s fun-loving attitude paired with Beckett’s determination makes for a show that is not only fun but fascinating. The obvious chemistry between the two evident from day one, yet viewers still had to wait four whole seasons for that show-stopping kiss (are you seeing a pattern? Procedural dramas love to take their time with relationships).

Neither couple’s relationship has been without hardship (gambling addictions and disappearances can do that), but I think that’s why we love them. No relationship is easy and viewers seem to really appreciate the realness shown in these ships. Also, can I just say how adorable it is, that even though both couples are now married, they still rarely call each other by their first names? Old habits die-hard, I guess! So, procedural fans, which pair do you love the most?
