HTGAWM: Who Killed Rebecca?

After 7 long, agonizing months, How To Get Away with Murder is finally returning to ABC for a second season. After Viola Davis’ well-deserved Emmy win this past Sunday, ratings and expectations are going to be exceptionally high for the season premiere. The season 1 finale wrapped up most of the mysteries surrounding the murders of Lila and Sam, but it also introduced a new set of problems with a shot of Rebecca’s dead body in the final few seconds. Even though I am selfishly happy that she is finally gone so that Wes can move on with his life, I have been thinking about who the killer could be throughout this long hiatus.

Although Shonda Rhimes makes it near impossible to solve her intricate mysteries, I want to know who you think killed Rebecca?

The suspects:

Frank: He has shown his unwavering loyalty to Professor Keating on multiple occasions. He has proven that he has the capacity to kill when he strangled Lila, so Rebecca would not have been much of a stretch.

Wes: He was having trust issues with Rebecca in the episodes leading up to the finale as well as during. Could his growing suspicion of her actions, especially involving the previous tenant of his apartment, drive him to murder?

Professor Keating: Rebecca and her case have caused Annalise so many problems over the past year. She has been worked to the bone and has to work constantly to keep her true emotions hidden. Could all of her pent-up anger and frustration have led her to murder her client?

Someone Else: Honestly anybody could have been the murderer at this point, and I am excited to see how this season plays out as we continue to receive more clues.

Leave your prediction below, and don’t forget to tune into the Season 2 premiere of How To Get Away with Murder on Thursday, September 24th at 10/9c on ABC.
