ATX Television Festival Announces the 2013 Programming – Including a Boy Meets World reunion!

Well, we hope you entered and won the Pitch Competition announced a few months ago because you definitely want to make sure you will be present at this year’s ATX Festival! It’s just around the corner [June 6-9, 2013], and the line-up information has been revealed – which includes an exciting reunion with the Boy Meets World cast! Join Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Matthew Lawrence, Maitland Ward, and the show’s creator Michael Jacobs as they talk about the beloved show and [hopefully] let slip some information about the upcoming spinoff series Girl Meets World set to air in the 2013-2014 television season.

“I’m grateful to the ATX Television Festival for including Boy and Girl Meets World this year. The incredible outpouring of feeling for the original show, and anticipation for the new one makes us only want to work harder to create something that audiences old and new will appreciate,” said series creator Michael Jacobs.

Boy Meets World ripped away my childhood and ruined me as an adult. Wait, reverse that,” said cast member Rider Strong.  “I’m so happy to be a part of ATX Television Festival.  Boy Meets World was a magical time in my life and it’s incredibly satisfying to know that it still resonates with people.”

In addition to the Boy Meets World/Girl Meets World cast, there will also be guest appearances from the TNT Perception cast – including Rachael Leigh Cook, Kenneth Biller, and Scott Wolf – as well as the Friday Night Lights cast – who were also present last year, and we’re excited to be seeing them again! In addition, Julie Plec, co-creator and Executive Producer of The Vampire Diaries will also be present – possibly with some additional information on the potential new spinoff series The Originals.

Of course, there are many more appearances and screenings that will take place over the weekend! Check out the list below for the full programming schedule and guests. For more information, follow @ATXFestival on Twitter, or visit their website. Hope to see you there!

The 2nd annual ATX Festival will take place in Austin, Texas June 6-9, 2013, and badges are still available – both for the entire weekend [$169] or just for the episode screenings [$75] – here. Ticket prices will increase on April 15. They are also in need of volunteers – and if you’re interested check out their website [http://atxfestival.com/volunteer] for more information.
